What does it mean to live sustainably? From an environmental standpoint, for some it means reducing forms of energy use, from oil dependency to carbon footprint. For others it means simple things such as driving less, or changing light bulbs to high efficiency LED’s. This section will depict how we all can incorporate sustainability into our lives, and give you some practical steps to take in your own life. We will also address what makes a life sustainable, focusing on personal growth and how to get the most out of your day, month and year.
What does sustainability mean to us?
Sustainability means broadening our horizons, thinking about the individual choices we make and how they will impact future generations ahead. We want to lessen our burden on the environment to live more in balance with nature when we can.
Extending beyond our impact on the environment, we will cover topics related to a sustainable lifestyle. Living with intention, and finding a path that is sustainable for the long-term.
Throughout our journey so far, we have found out that what we once thought we wanted doesn’t always live up to the hype. Whether this is a material possession that we bought, a career that turned out just to be a job, or the apartment in the “great location” that we couldn’t sleep at night.
Together we are working on broadening our horizons, to dig deeper, to learn new skills, and make our lives more sustainable. This is an ever evolving process and we are excited to see what kind of new topics we can unfold here.
